Hearsay
Hearsay is an out of court statement, other than one made by the declarant, offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted. Tex. R. Evid. 801(d). Hearsay is generally inadmissible. Id. 802.
Hearsay on Congress
So far, so good, but in Houston, Hearsay does not just refer to any location away from the courthouse. As a matter of fact, it's within walking distance.
